South East Trains chose Trescray who set up procedures and a Team of Surveyors armed with Cameras and Survey Forms and a team of Designers armed with PCs to document their findings.
A Specification for the work is written for each station to cover the Data Networking Equipment, Data Cabling, Electrical Services and Trunking required at each Location. Once approved Trescray then carry out the installation work and documented this as installed work.
The complete project was to refurbish 160 stations across their network and as part of this refurbishment Trescray installed structured cabling services for voice and data connectivity. In conjunction with this Trescray installed the active hardware for the data transmissions into these stations to produce high performance bandwidth to the users. In addition Trescray upgraded the Electrical Distribution boards and installed small power to the data cabinets and offices.
