Professional Indemnity firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain hired Trescray to install a network to link all fee earners in their three London offices.
The network upgrade was necessary to support a new Document management system designed to support 24 major cases with 6 active at any one time.
The system enables the firm to keep better track of the vast amounts of documents the firm handles.
Trescray originally designed and installed a Switched Ethernet system with an FDDI backbone for resilience. This has now been upgraded to a fully resilient GigaBit Ethernet Backbone with servers on Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet switched connections. Around 300 users are connected to the network by 10/1000 Switched Ethernet.
Trescray maintain the network and provide ongoing installation services for upgrades and moves in addition to cabling new office areas.
Julie Berry, Reynold's IT manager, said "The installation of cabling and hardware is what usually causes the most headaches, but since Trescray began work there had been no hitches."
